Myers Briggs

Hello Lovelies,

This page is your bonus upload for the month. I hope you enjoy it! Personally, I just love how these two characters banter. 😉

Recently, a friend recommend I take a personality test called Myers Briggs (MB). At its worst, I treat personality tests as form of entertainment. At its best, I treat them as a self-reflection tool. And I say tool, because a tool can only be as accurate as the person who uses it. It’s not easy to look at one’s self with informed, yet unbiased eyes. So, for fun, I took it. My result was INFJ, and the description seemed pretty accurate. However, it wasn’t my results that peaked my interest, rather, it was the possible sixteen different personality types that drew me in. As a webcomic artist, I’m always on the lookout to improve my craft. And when I come across something that might be useful, I study it.

Character creation and development are two of my favorite study topics, and after taking MB, I wondered which personality each of my characters would get if they took the test. While researching, I was happy to find that I wasn’t the only one interested in using MB to categorize fictional characters. If you do an online search, you’ll find that everyone from the Golden Girls to Harry Potter characters has been sorted (pun intended). While trying to categorizing my own characters, I was forced to ask questions about them that I hadn’t before, and this created a need to further develop their backstories. I’m pleased to say that this exercise was very helpful in progressing my characters’ development.

The characters I’ve categorized include: Lark, Jaxon (The Pageboy), Count Wylie (The Noble), and the mysterious pale girl. If anyone wants to take a stab and guess the MB personality of each character, I’d love to hear it in the comments. I’ll reveal the results next update, which will be Tuesday, July 4th. All $2+ Patreons will have access to the answers four days sooner on Friday, June 30th.

Till next time!
